Dreamy denim

Summer has officially (and finally) arrived in Melbourne and this weekend we spent a lazy post-brunch Sunday wandering around our local neighbourhood soaking up some rays and exploring random little side streets. Pretty much what Melbourne is made for.

A great excuse for me to wear my new Seed tencel dress and pair it with the pillar-box-red espadrilles I bought just before Christmas and have been wearing pretty much ever since. I'm a big fan of a pop of red to brighten up what is usually for me a fairly simple outfit. Whether it's via a shoe, bag or killer manicure, dropping a good red never fails to bring a smile to my face and paired with the relaxed cool of some denim, it's a total winner. Hell, if it's good enough for the gorgeous Miss Palermo...

This Seed dress is sigh-worthy soft and perfect for hot summer days when comfort and breathability (is that a word?) are your main priorities. Seed have got a great collection of chambray tencel going on at the moment and I definitely recommend heading in to take a look at some of the other pieces. The drapey fabric is gorgeous for a very relaxed, very cool summer look.

My only fear is whether the softness will last after it's been through the washing machine...

Oh and P.S. BIG news for me, I had my hair chopped. This may not seem like a big deal but trust me, after having hair down to my boobs for the past 15 years, it was a pretty major step in my life. I love it.
