Classic treasure

Over the course of this blog you'll hear me talk about how simple my style is. I always go for plain basics and more often than not you'll find a plain grey, white or black tee is at the foundation of my outfit. I'm certainly never going to win any awards for most outrageous fashion decision and the same goes for my weekend uniform, which tends to be fairly predictable.

Topshop leigh jeans, Topshop knit (similar style here), Zara coat, Seed Heritage bag, now $39.95

During Autumn/Winter it invariably consists of a base variation of; skinny jeans, knit jumper and converse or ankle boots. During Spring/Summer we're talking denim shorts with a slouchy tee and flip flops or espadrilles.

Now before you all wonder what exactly you are doing reading my blog, let me go on. The best thing (for me anyway) about all this simplicity is that it means you get to use accessories to make your mark on the outfit.

There a few coats and jackets you should be looking out for to complete a really great classic collection of pieces, but one of the most versatile and perennial is the classic camel coal.

After a long week at work, no-one would blame you if the idea of picking out the perfect outfit for a relaxing weekend brunch made you want to hide under the duvet for an extra hour.

My suggestion?

Investing in a classic coat means you can keep the basics simple but the moment you throw on your coat it adds a touch of effortless weekend cool to your outfit.

Oh, and a statement necklace never goes astray.

Now go forth and enjoy your eggs and coffee. And please excuse the not-great, slightly sleepy pic-it's the weekend after all.
